So tomorrow is an exciting day as I take ownership of a slightly used Nikon D810 full frame camera – this should allow me to capture much sharper images with far greater contrast. The D810 has the largest dynamic range of any camera on the market, at least as of February 2015. Purchasing this camera also means I’m going to have to get more storage space, coming in at a whopping 36MP, creating huge RAW files in the process!

The biggest downfall for me right now is that my lenses are for Nikons DX range of 1.5x crop factor cameras. They will fit the new FX body but the camera will only record in DX crop mode. Moving up to a pro camera body is just the beginning of a financial nightmare, hopefully allowing the user to start off on the first rung of the pro ladder.
